About
AltTabbed is a blog started late 2009 written by Samuel Bigos. He writes mainly about (but not limited to) computer gaming, including un-biased down-to-earth views on the latest happenings in the gaming industry. Sam is currently undertaking a Computer Games Technology course at Portsmouth University, learning C++ and 3DS Max, and has a basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Okay, enough of the 3rd person introduction. I play many games and have interests in all things technological or gaming oriented. I am a Strategy Specialist over at the fantastic GameReplays.org community. I have attended many LANs in the past few years, including three i-series events with people from the Aim To Kill Community (i33, i34, and i37), and a small Portsmouth University LAN. I have played in competitive teams for a few games, for example Team Fortress 2, Call Of Duty 4, and Company Of Heroes (CoH), as well as playing CoH competitively in 1v1, being ranked as a top 20 player at one point. I also played World Of Warcraft for about a year and a half, mainly raiding with a high level guild. I quit about half a year before Wrath Of The Lich King was released.
My first gaming experience was with Worms Armageddon, where I was in a clan called the ‘Contra Clan’, the clan eventually collapsed but inspired me to create a smaller clan for Soldat, which I ran for just under a year. This tought me a lot about how online communities interact with games, and introduced me to the competitive side of gaming. I still consider Worms and Soldat as some of the best games ever because they introduced me to the world of gaming.
Today, i’m focussing on my university degree while also playing as many games as I can. I started this blog on the 10th December, 2009 to improve my web skills but mainly for the challenge and personal gratification that one can gain from running a blog.
